Download our apply for microbiology analysis
Microbiological analysis of food encompasses a set of assays through which we can establish both the microbiological quality of the food (ensuring compliance with current regulations) and the detection of pathogens that may pose a risk to food safety and quality. These analyses also provide valuable information for the food industry, pharmaceutical field, and health sector, such as antimicrobial activity and identification of microorganisms isolated from various matrices. Additionally, the Unit has a collection of strains acquired from nationally and internationally renowned collections
A proper microbiological characterization allows us to obtain valuable information about the degree of sample deterioration, the possibility of disease transmission, or the study of beneficial effects, among others
The BAT Unit has two level 2 biological safety laboratories, enabling the determination of both pathogenic and non-pathogenic microorganisms. We also have a media preparation room and a cleaning and thermal disinfection room. The services we provide include:
Related to general microbiological quality of food
