The Bioanalytical Techniques Unit (BAT) is a service unit at disposal for all CIAL’s departments, which has high-performance instrumentation and facilities to match a wide range of analytical measurements together with relevant sample preparation techniques.
It provides technical support to the CIAL research groups partly through maintenance of laboratories and equipment, partly as a direct analytical support according to catalogue.
The unit is composed by two biosafety level 2 laboratories (microbiology and cell cultures) with auxiliary media preparation and decontamination areas, a Bioanalytical Techniques Laboratory and four auxiliary equipment areas. The staff is presently composed of the head of unit and two technicians.
